Fellowship opportunity for emerging Pacific economists
Are you an emerging economist in the Asia-Pacific region?
The Pacific Trade and Development (PAFTAD) Fellowship for Young Scholars offers the opportunity for young economists to build their skills and present their work at a conference in Japan in early 2018. Up to five fellowships will be offered by the PAFTAD Secretariat this year.
To be eligible, you will need to submit an unpublished empirical paper on themes related to Asia-Pacific trade and economic development and be available to attend the PAFTAD Conference from 30 January to 2 February 2018.
If your application is successful you will receive return economy airfare to Tokyo, registration for the Young Fellows Seminar and PAFTAD Conference, accommodation for the duration of the seminar and conference, and publication of your paper as a PAFTAD Working Paper.
Applications are due by 5 pm AEST on 27 October 2017.
More information about the Fellowship, and instructions on how to apply, can be found here.
Please note that Devpolicy is not involved in the running of this fellowship program — please direct any questions or applications to PAFTAD.
